The Benefits of Shaving with Oil

When you shave, you're removing the top layer of dead skin, revealing a fresh and new layer of cells.

By shaving with a chemical, astringent shaving foam, you are stripping those new cells of all their moisture right as they've emerged into the world! This causes stress to these new cells and can make your skin feel itchy and look dull.

Our body/shave oil is made from a blend of natural seed oils: Apricot Kernel, Grapeseed, Sunflower Seed and Calendula Extract. All of which have been meticulously chosen for their high concentrations of Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Omega Fatty Acids - which are all essential to healthy skin cells.

The oils used in our body/shave oil deliver these important nutrients to new cells as you shave.

Vitamin E:

  • essential nutrient in skin’s antioxidant defenses
  • protects against free-radicals and UV radiation from the sun
  • anti-inflammatory, helping reduce swelling and redness

Vitamin A:

  • plumps skin to improve the appearance of wrinkles and sagging
  • promotes healthy cell turnover, improving hyperpigmentation, sunspots, leading to more even skin tone
  • stimulates collagen and elastin production, making skin feel more hydrated and bouncy

Linoleic Acid (Omega-6):

  • supports a healthy skin barrier
  • improves skin hydration by preventing water loss

Oleic Acid (Omega-9):

  • softens and smooths the skin's surface
  • calms irritated or inflamed skin

Because the best time to moisturize and nourish your skin is while you shave, not after.
